Network context: SCIN is a Canadian community that supports immigrant and BIPOC professionals in supply chain, operations and project management. Members gain access to mentorship, networking, training and job-search support, and volunteers can obtain valuable Canadian work experience.

Volunteer Roles Summary
- Event Host & Moderator: Plans and facilitates networking sessions and webinars, ensuring smooth flow, managing Q&A, and introducing speakers.
- Career Support Liaison: Provides job-search guidance, résumé tips and mock interview support; coordinates 15‑minute one‑on‑one consultations.
- Mentorship Coordinator: Recruits mentors, oversees the matching process with mentees and monitors ongoing mentor–mentee relationships.
- Content & Community Contributor: Creates articles, posts and discussion topics; moderates community chats and helps educate members through curated content.
- Communications & Outreach Coordinator: Crafts newsletters and announcements, manages social media outreach and promotes events and success stories.
- Technical Support & Platform Guide: Assists members with using SCIN’s digital platforms (e.g., Zoom, Mighty Network); troubleshoots issues during events.
- Project Coordinator (Regional): Organizes local networking events in specific provinces (e.g., Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba), handling logistics and local outreach.
- Program Track Lead: Oversees a specific professional development track (Supply Chain, Project Management or IT/Data), curating workshops, certifications and mentoring.
- Partnership & Funding Lead: Builds relationships with sponsors and industry partners, drafts proposals and helps secure funding for SCIN programs.
- Volunteer Liaison: Onboards new volunteers, tracks volunteer assignments and ensures volunteers have the resources they need.
These roles collectively enable SCIN to deliver mentorship, community-building events, professional training and industry engagement, helping newcomers integrate into the Canadian supply chain workforce while strengthening the network itself
